PROTECTION POLICY

It is the policy of United Commtel to conduct its operations in a manner that protects the environment and the health and safety of it employees and the public. The following initiatives are undertaken at United Commtel to meet the objectives of Protection Policy:-
  • Advise employees of environment, health and safety (“EH&S”) requirements and hold them accountable;
  • Design and manage operations to minimize EH&S impacts and provide workplaces free of recognized safety hazards;
  • Comply with EH&S laws;
  • Recognize the importance of EH&S factors where they may compete with economic factors;
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report performance in EH&S protection;
  • Provide training needed to protect human, environmental and physical resources; and
  • Participate in programs designed to enhance knowledge and improve EH&S technology and laws
OTHER PROTECTION POLICIES

In addition to United Commtel’s  Environmental, Health, and Safety Protection Policy, the company’s Code of Business Conduct includes the following related policies:

  • The Workplace Safety Policy, which reflects the company’s commitment to maintain a safe workplace that is free from recognized hazards;
  • the Policy Regarding Violence in the Workplace, which reflects the company’s commitment to prohibit verbal or written threats of violent behavior, as well as acts of violent behavior, in the workplace;
  • the Firearms and Weapons Policy, which reflects the company’s commitment to prohibit employees, other than authorized security personnel, from carrying firearms or other weapons on the company’s premises; and
  • the Prohibited Substances Policy, which reflects the company’s commitment to prohibit employees from the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession, or use of a controlled substance, or being under the influence of a prohibited substance without medical authorization while on the company’s premises or while performing services for the company.
